You have to be a celebrity or uber rich to afford an at home hair and makeup team, right? Wrong. Long gone are the days on-demand beauty services are exclusively for the privileged few. Technology is working to democratize the beauty service industry. Check out these six on-demand beauty apps making at home makeup, hair styling, massages, and even dermatologist visits well within your budget. They’re only a few clicks (or swipes) away.
1.Spruce “Your Online Dermatologist”
Ever woken up on a Saturday with a scary rash and couldn’t wait until Monday to see your dermatologist? Well, Spruce has the answer.
This beauty app allows users the ability to consult with board certified dermatologists day or night. Upload images of your skin issue (rash, acne, etc), describe in length your concerns and a dermatologist in your area will respond within 24 hours. By the time Sunday night rolls around you’ll have a diagnosis and treatment plan. Any prescriptions needed can be sent digitally to your preferred pharmacy.
Each “visit” costs $40 (they do not accept insurance) and includes a 30-day messaging window where patients can ask their dermatologist questions. Subsequent follow-up sessions are at the discretion of the patient and an additional charge.

2. GlamSquad “Get Professional Hair & Makeup Without Leaving Your Home”
Available in LA, NYC and Chicago, GlamSquad brings makeup artists and hairstylists to you. Just sign up, pick a style, date and time and a beauty professional will be at your doorstep. Appointments can even be booked same day.
A blow out can set you back $50, while a more intricate up-do costs around $125. Makeup looks range from $75. Manicures and pedicures are also available currently only in New York City and cost $50-100. All fees include tax and 20% gratuity. And the app makes payment a breeze. No money ever exchanges hands, as payments are handled via credit card through the app.
3. beGlammed “Top Rated Hairstylists & Makeup Artists Come Directly to You”
While similar to GlamSquad, beGlammed has a much larger servicing area. This beauty app is available in 20 cities, so far, bringing users on demand makeup and hairstylists at prices that wont break the bank. Blow outs start at $40 and can be paired with a makeup “touch-up” for $25. While full makeup looks and up-dos range from $55-100. Large groups and bridal packages can be booked for discounted prices up to two years in advance for those who like to plan early.
The best part about this app – if you find a beauty professional you love, you can schedule them specifically for your next appointment.
4. Priv “A Beauty & Wellness App”
If your needs go beyond hair and makeup, though they have you covered there too, check out Priv. This full service app offers haircuts, styling, nails, massage, private yoga sessions, or spray tans. All services can be booked as last minute as same day appointments. And men if you’re starting to feel left out, don’t. They offer hair cuts and beard trims for you, too.
Services range from $65 for a 30 minute desk side massage, $50 for a blowout or $100 for an up-do. Men’s haircuts start at $50 and beard trims $35.
Priv is available in NYC, London, LA, Hamptons, Orange Country and Austin.
5. Pretty In My Pocket “Discover Beauty Products for Real Women”
Pretty In My Pocket, or PRIMP for short, is hoping to revolutionize how consumers purchase beauty products. Users can wander into their local drugstore or department store, scan the barcode of any product via the app, and PRIMP will pull up blogger and app user reviews. PRIMP aims to help consumers make informed buying decisions.
The app also offers a community where users can view makeup looks or upload their own. Products corresponding to each look can be purchased via the app and featured deals and coupons are often available.
6. Lifebooker “Beauty Covered. Prices Stripped”
Dubbed the Groupon of the beauty world, Lifebooker offers discounted beauty services up to 30-70% off regular prices. Services include: haircuts, styling, nails, lash extensions, botox, fitness classes and more. User reviews and Yelp ratings appear alongside each deal, so you can trust the quality you’ll be getting. Appointments can be booked through the app.
