The last time an exfoliator changed my life was when I discovered the REN Glycolic Peel in 2011. It’s been a while since I’ve been blown away by an at home exfoliator. If you have sensitive skin, like me, physical scrubs can be harsh and chemical ones like AHAs or retinol products even harsher. So what’s a girl to do? Use SKIN Inc Pure Revival Peel! The best non irritating exfoliator. I am currently obsessed with this gentle product.
The pump container dispenses a cool, watery gel. Once smoothed over clean dry skin, allow it to sit for a few seconds before gently massaging in circular motion. The instructions say that the product will “turn milky” notifying you after a brief moment that it’s ready to be massaged. I didn’t notice any color or consistency change. Regardless, once I started rubbing the product, dead skin started to clump and roll off! If you’ve been to the Korean spas and had your skin scrubbed, the effects are the same, except minus the Brillo-like scrubbing pads and old Korean ladies in black underwear. After rinsing away the peel and dead skin with water, my face feels hydrated and smooth. No visible redness and no irritation. I immediately follow with toner and a face oil to lock in moisture.
If you’re dealing with dry, dehydrated, flaky, acne prone or sensitive skin (basically, who isn’t?), then this non irritating exfoliator is a gift from the skincare gods. Made with fancy sounding active ingredients like AC-11 (prevents cellular damage), arbutin (a brightening agent), and fullerene (powerful antioxidant), this gentle peel from Japanese brand, SKIN INC, is going to become your new best friend.
