Its undeniable, luxury skin care comes with a price. High-end serums and moisturizers can run well beyond a hundred dollars and before you know it a trip to Sephora can easily mean blowing next months rent check #oops. But luxury pricing isn’t always synonymous with high quality. To prove our point we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite “wow” drugstore skin care products that deliver exceptional results at remorse free pricing.
Cleanser
Garnier Clean + Nourishing Cleansing Oil for Dry Skin
This is our favorite bargain cleansing oil. Made with jojoba and macadamia oil, it will leave your skin visibly hydrated and smooth after breaking down makeup, oil and debris. Perfect for all skin types.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
In the morning, a light cleanse is all you need. (Best to leave the deep cleansing clay products or scrubs for at night, so as not to overdo it.) We recommend opting for a gentle sweep of micellar water in the AM. Micellar water has oil and dirt loving molecules that lift impurities off of skin and since it’s water based and hypoallergenic we find ourselves using it throughout the day as a quick refresher.
Exfoliator
St. Ives Exfoliating Pads, $14.99
Remember St. Ives Apricot Scrub? Ah, brings back memories of the 90s. Well, the brand has introduced a softer, gentler, exfoliating option. We love their exfoliating pads for an invigorating experience sure to perk up the dullest skin. The unique combination of lactic acid, alpha hydroxyl acid and vitamin E softens fine lines and wrinkles, while deeply cleansing skin and promoting a brighter and smoother texture.
Face Oil
Boots Botanics Organic Facial Oil, $8.99
Facial oils are essential when it comes to adding an extra boost of moisture to dry, flaky skin, or rebalancing oily skin by restoring the skin’s natural balance of sebum and water. With a calming blend of Rosehip extract and Omega oils Boots Botanics Organic Facial Oil will lock in moisture, improve suppleness and balance out sebum without leaving an oily sheen #lessgreasemoreglow.
Moisturizer
Laneige Water Bank Moisturize Cream, $32
Korean skin care brand, Laneige, sold at Target, offers a moisturizing cream we can’t get enough of. Rich in Tillandsia extract and the brands Hydro Ion Mineral Water base, this cream is focused on maintaining and aiding in the skin’s continued production of natural hyaluronic acid (the stuff that makes your skin plump and moist). This highly efficacious moisturizer has a gel like consistency and energizing scent that feels like it should be much more expensive than it is.
